The Columbia Valley Community Foundation funds held with Vancouver Foundation is pooled with other donations and invested prudently. The Vancouver Foundation’s Investment Policy is designed to optimize total returns, maximize distributions (the portion of income from CVCF fund that is given out annually) and at the same time protect the capital against inflation. The Vancouver Foundation employs several investment management firms to manage the funds in their care. To achieve the appropriate levels of risk exposure balanced against return expectations, investments are allocated across several asset classes.

Returns from the Vancouver Foundation are paid quarterly; CVCF then invests these returns with the Columbia Valley Credit Union (Golden).
