From Canal Flats to Spillimacheen, we create access to sustainable funding for local causes by offering grants and managing endowments on behalf of our donors. In addition, we support our region’s nonprofit sector by publishing data to help define community needs, and by serving as a networking and resource hub.

Roger & Dot Smith Legacy Fund
Roger and Dot Smith were longtime champions of the Columbia Valley and generous supporters of the causes that help communities thrive. As a founding board member and long-time executive committee member, Roger played a central role in shaping the Foundation’s early vision and growth. Together, Roger and Dot quietly supported community well-being through numerous anonymous gifts, reflecting their shared belief in giving back without seeking recognition.

Neighbourhood Small Grants
In partnership with the Vancouver Foundation, we offer grants of up to $500 for you to bring your community project to life. With a Neighbourhood Small Grant, you join a network of thousands of project leaders across British Columbia who have taken steps to better their neighbourhoods—just like you.
