“We had a wonderful turnout for our first Diversity Day on the farm, an event that brought together a diverse group of friends and neighbours. It offered an opportunity for participants to connect, engage, and share experiences in a way that might not have been possible otherwise. For many, it was a chance to step away from their usual routines and experience something special—spending time outdoors, interacting with the farm animals, and connecting with others from the community. Everyone had the chance to feed and meet the farm animals, pet a pony, and enjoy a hot dog and marshmallow roast. For some participants, it was their first visit to the farm, and they were thrilled to meet the animals and enjoy being a part of the action The event brought together neighbors fostering an environment where they could share experiences, support one another, and build new relationships. We are so thankful for the support from our community to be able to offer our farm as a place of gathering and bringing people together sharing in our love of animals (and all the work that goes into loving them) and community Diversity Day has the power to be a meaningful annual gathering where everyone can come together to network, support one another, and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.

The Diversity Day on the Farm project received funding through the Neighbourhood Small Grants program in 2024.
