Here is our standard paragraph on Columbia Valley Community Foundation and its work. Please include in any media release on a project we have supported. Simply cut and paste the text to your document.

The Columbia Valley Community Foundation (“Foundation”) is a collection of endowment funds established by donors from all walks of life to build legacies in our Valley communities. Funds are pooled and invested with the income distributed as grants to charitable projects and students, in a broad and inclusive manner that benefits the Columbia Valley between Spillimacheen and Canal Flats. The Foundation, on behalf of its donors, has distributed more than $1.5 million to nearly 300 community projects in the areas of: recreation, community facilities, children and youth, arts and culture, health and safety, the environment, literacy and social services.   In addition, through the generosity of its donors, the Foundation has provided over $675,000 in scholarships to post-secondary students hailing from the Columbia Valley.

Together with its community, a foundation enables the unique and essential spirit that flourishes when people believe their community holds possibilities for everyone. To learn more about your community foundation go to ValleyFoundation.ca.

The Columbia Valley Foundation is located on the unceded shared territory of the Ktunaxa and Secwe̓pemc people, home to the local communities of ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation, Shuswap Band and the chosen home of the Columbia Valley Métis.
